The Technical education has recently achieved prominence as a major facet of Education enterprise. The new global economy increasingly demands more skilled and better Educated work force than ever before. The Government Polytechnic Institute for Girls Latifabad Hyderabad is pursuing the goal set by STEVTA to empower Girls through Technical Education by giving them Diploma of Associate Engineer in CIT & Garments.
To operationalize the institute with STEVTA regulation of institute management, qualitative faculty and establish industrial linkages that ensures to create technical and entrepreneurial expertise in women, who serves at national & international level to contribute to the socio-economic environment with high skills and ethics.
To educate women and enable them to attain personal and professional goals.
To impart technical skills in women so that they actively contribute to the socio economic environment of society.
To establish campus environment where trainees learn values, honesty, integrity, judgement and desire for knowledge.
At the time of Independence, Technical Education and Diploma courses were offered in Engineering College with total annual intake capacity of about 350 students in three main fields of Engineering (Civil, Electrical and Mechanical).
